Do you teach martial arts?
No. Martial arts are sport oriented. We are a pure self defence training company and teach skills from real life experiences. We are not restricted to the rules and regulations of sport related martial arts.
What ages do you teach?
We teach from 4 years and above.
How long do I have to train to become proficient in self defence?
This is one of the most common asked questions. Self defence cannot be taught in a few hours. It requires dedication and training to understand how and why conflict happens and how to best deal with it. Self defence techniques have to be drilled time and time again for you to be able to effectively use these in a violent situation and react naturally. As a minimum we would recommend 6-8 months but we do have students who have been training for years and are highly skilled.
Can we train as a family?
Yes 70% of our members are made up of families. Families have the greatest success training at elite self defence.
How much do you charge?
Our prices are dependent on the number of lessons you attend and the programme you join. We openly inform potential clients that we are not the cheapest self defence training business around but we are the best and the most professional in the Leeds and surrounding area.
Do you have a full time location?
Yes. All our training is held in a full time self defence studio. It’s fully equipped to provide you with the best training environment to learn the skills needs. We have excellent parking, a fully matted training area with all the equipment you will need, a viewing area for parents, an instructor training room and male & female toilets.
How are your classes different from martial arts classes and other self defence classes?
First and foremost we do not teach self defence as a hobby. All our trainers are fully qualified with years of experience. The thing which makes elite self defence unique is that we teach all classes in a semi private environment with a maximum of six students. You will never attend a class where there are thirty people training on the mats. This way we can keep retention high and help the student reach their goals in the fastest possible time.
